Timeline and Process
Our Process
The Standing Committee will be creating three committees (Bishop Search, Transition, and Consecration) to lead the bishop search process.
The Standing Committee’s next step is to develop the rules and procedure for electing a bishop. The Episcopal Church’s canons and our diocesan canons specify few details about how the election is to take place, so the Standing Committee will develop the rules and procedure, with the help of the diocesan chancellor, and present them to the 2023 Diocesan Convention for consideration.
